Bed Time Story- Yeti Town

Over the mountains far far away
There is a place with many caves
And in these caves lay paths and roads
That lead deep in to the mountains and far below

None of these paths and none of these roads
Will actually tell you where they all go
But I have heard if you keep walking down
You will arrive in Yeti town

The people in Yeti Town look a bit scary
Because they are bigger than us and they are hairy
But Yeti’s are kind and gentle to
They wouldn’t hurt me and they wouldn’t hurt you

Now this story is about a time when all Yeti’s
Would only ever eat lots of spaghetti!
Spaghetti for breakfast, for lunch and for dinner
Some days they would see who could eat the most
Then announce the Spaghetti winner

So this is how they used to live way down in Yeti town
They would eat spaghetti all day long and even all year round.

Then one day the Doctor came and he saw straight away
There were no Yeti’s walking round and no children out to play.
The sun was out, the weather was warm yet all the streets were empty.
“What’s going on?” the Doctor thought ” Where are all the Yeti’s?”.

The Doctor looked in every house down every single street.
Not one Yeti was awake! all were sound asleep
The doctor saw spaghetti bowls everywhere he looked
On kitchen tables, beside the beds and on stoves half cooked.

” This is not good” the Doctor thought ” Just look at all these Yeti’s”
” They sleep all night and sleep all day, and only eat spaghetti!”
The Doctor knew exactly why the Yeti’s were asleep.
By eating spaghetti every day, they all lacked energy!.

The Doctor walked back to the centre of town
And he rang the church bells ever so loud.
The church bells rang and rang and rang until the Doctor Saw
that every Yeti was now awake and not sleeping anymore.

” Now listen to me” The Doctor said ” I speak to all you Yeti’s”.
You’ve all turned in to sleepyheads because you only eat spaghetti!”

You eat spaghetti for breakfast, spaghetti for lunch and even spaghetti for dinner”.
” You even try to eat the most so you become the spaghetti winner!”.

“It isn’t healthy just to eat spaghetti so this cannot carry on”
” Not if you want the Yeti children to grow up big and strong”

” They need to eat all kinds of foods like carrots, potatoes and beans”
” For these are the foods that help them grow with all the vitamins”
” Fruit and veges must be eaten with smaller amounts of spaghetti”
” Then instead of being sleepyheads, they’ll become more energetic”.

” And it’s the same for all parents” the healthy Doctor said”
” Who really wants to spend all day sleeping in their bed?”

” Well that explains it” said a yeti from the crowd
” So this is why we laze about!”.
” We have all been eating to much spaghetti”
” It’s turned us in to sleepy Yeti’s!”

” That’s correct” the Doctor said ” and did you Yeti’s know?”
” If you eat fruit and vegetables, it helps your brain to grow”
” These types of food have vitamins, iron and even zinc”
” It’s what your brain wants you to eat so it can help you think!”.

A yeti boy from within the crowd yelled ” Well Doctor, I’m not ready!”
” Fruit and vegetables sound yuk to me so I’ll just eat spaghetti!”

” That’s all very well” the Doctor replied ” If you want to stay sleepy and small”.
” But how will you feel when you see all your friends, grow healthy big and tall?”.

With the advice of the doctor the Yeti boy thought
I do want a brain that can think and be taught
And I do want my body to grow big and strong
I don’t even like sleeping all day long!.

All the other Yeti’s agreed
They should eat less spaghetti and more spuds and peas
Fruit and veges is what they shall eat
Then yummy spaghetti could be eaten as a treat.

In just a few days the doctor could see
The Yeti’s were all full of energy
By eating all vitamins, Iron and Zinc
Their brains were alert and were able to think

A big change was made in Yeti town
Deep in the mountains way way down
And if you ever find the town of the Yeti’s
You will see them eating fruit and veges

So if YOU want to grow healthy and strong like a Yeti
Then eat fruit and vegetables with your yummy spaghetti

Note from Gerry- When we meet you then you will be able to show us your big healthy muscles and quick thinking brain.
That’s if you eat more fruit and vegetables!, Goodnight earth angle and sleep tight xxx

Bed Time Story ‘ The Martian Ant’

One day when I was looking at the sky
A shiny object caught my eye
It was silver and shaped like a big broad bean
The object was a flying machine

The flying machine shaped like a broad bean
Was the oddest thing I’d ever seen
And as I watched it come speeding down
It landed safely on the ground

When the door flung open that’s when I did see
A Martian Ant staring straight back at me
He wore a helmet, jacket and pants
He truly was a Martian Ant

” Hello” I said ” What is your task”
” Are you on a mission may I ask?”
“It has to be something as big as the stars”
” Because this is Earth and you flew from Mars”

” Well hello to you to” said the Martian Ant
” I will answer you questions as much as I can”
” Indeed I did, I flew from Mars”
” And I am on a mission that is as ig as the stars”

” Ig as the stars” I asked ” What does ig Mean?”
” Ig is not an English word that I have heard or seen”

” No” Said the Martian Ant ” Ig is not a word”
” Atleast not in English that we have seen or heard”
” On Mars we speak words like ig, uzz and ees”
” Yet they aren’t real words to you or to me”

” Ig, uzz and ees even to Martians sound strange”
” Let me tell you” said the Martian ” Why these words have changed”

” These words had never been in our vocabulary”
” We used to make sense by speaking perfectly”
” Yet since we have lost a letter, our words have not been clear”
” One day the sound of letter just disappeared!”

“All us Martian Ants looked around ”
” We searched on different planets and stars”
” We tried to find the missing letter”
” But it just simply escaped from Mars”

“So the reason I have come to Earth is, I really need to check”
” As I may find the missing letter in your English alpha- et”

” Alpha-et what is that? What does alpha-et mean?”
” Is alpha-et an english word?”
” Not that I have heard or seen”

” No” the Martian Ant replied “alpha-et is not a word”
” At least not in English that we have seen or heard”

” It’s the fault of the missing letter that makes the word sound weird”
” If we could find the missing letter then a real word may appear”

“Alpha-et, alpha-et now let’s all try and see”
“What is missing from this word”
Which letter could it be”

“Could it be? could it be the letter B
” Yes it is, Can you see? it is the letter B”

Lets write the word ALPHA- ET
And lets place the letter B
After the second letter A
And before the letter E
Now Alpha-et
Makes Alphabet Can you see?

” Well blow me down” said the Martian Ant
” Yes I see and I understand”
” Alpha-et was missing a letter
“Adding the b makes it so much better”

It changes Alpha-et which is not a real word
To Alphabet and that I have seen and heard”

” But although the word alphabet sound so much better”
” Should we be looking for another missing letter?”

What other letter does the Martian Ant need?

We need look NO further for it is the letter b
The letter b is what the Martian Ants need
Because if we write a b before ig,uzz and ees
We will get perfect words, big, buzz and bees!

Can you see? Can you see they just need the letter b

” I can see I can see” said the Martian Ant
He was jumping for joy and clapping his hands
” The missing letter truly is the letter b”
” So I need to take this b home with me”

As the Martian Ant walked into his flying machine
He turned and said “thank you all for helping me”
” Without your help I may not have found the missing letter”
” And with b back on Mars our words will sound better”

The Martian Ant then flew his flying machine
All the way home with the letter b
He flew through the clouds and past many stars
Until he and b landed on Mars.

A note from Gerry: I hope you enjoyed the little story about the Martian Ant. Time for bed now. Good night Earth Angel and sleep tight . xxx

The Crocodettes adventure in Greymouth

Hello everybody!!

I would like to tell you all about our wonderful adventure in a place called Greymouth.

Greymouth is a town situated in the west coast of the South Island of New Zealand.

When we arrived it was pouring down with rain. Rain rain and more rain !!!
The water kept pouring out of the sky and the funny thing was, when you looked at the rain it seemed like it was coming out of the sky sideways!!!

Pat and Frincess absolutely adored the rain. Herman and I watched as we saw Pat and Frincess laughing while dancing and jumping around, over and into puddles of water. It was sooo much fun watching them make fun!!!.

Before long it was time for us to sing and dance with children from Greymouth. We had such a lovely time and all the children were soooo nice.

I think Frincess had it right when she described the children from Greymouth. She said that all the children there carry the sunshine in their hearts. I soo agree with her.

So if you ever visit Greymouth then you will be made to feel very welcome, of that I am sure.

Anyway I love you all,

I’ll let you know of our next adventure soon

Big hugs from all of us,

Gerry

Grumpy Herman

Hi and Welcome Back!

Do you know this week we had a very grumpy Herman with us? Now as you know this is not normally how he is. In fact Herman would have to be one of the happiest beings that I know, but not this week though.

From the moment Herman got out of bed we noticed his grumpy mood. His head was down and his shoulders were slouched and when he walked he it was like he had to drag his feet.

Does this sound like the Herman you know??……. It’s not is it?

A Letter

Well I did something very different this week. I actually wrote a letter in my own hand writing. In other words I used a pen and a piece of paper and I wrote it all out by hand.

Now in Croco Galaxy we write letters using a computerised writing matron.

The writing matron is a small machine like computer that we just talk into and it writes the letter out for us. Then when the letter is done, the writing matron sends it to the person you wrote the letter to. I guess it’s a little like sending somebody an email from your modern day computers really.

So writing out a letter using a pen and a piece of paper was a new experience for me.

The Purple Bike

Our excitement this week has been watching Frincess learn to ride her new bike.

We have all noticed how many children here on Earth have push bikes. Do you have a bike?

By the way did you know that a bike is actually known as a bicycle?? Can you say bicycle? So now you know that when somebody says the word bicycle they are talking about a bike.

They look like so much fun and so Frincess decided this was her next venture. She wanted to learn how to ride a push bike safely.

Well we have all discovered by watching Frincess that riding a bike is not as easy as it looks. It takes an awful lot of balance and concentration.

What a frustrated Frincess from Frogo we did see!!!

Ah but the determination she displayed we knew she was not going to give up learning how to ride her bike any time soon.

The Boogie Man

Boy did I wake up in a hurry this morning.

Here I was still dreaming pleasantly when all of a sudden Frincess jumped over me trying to find some space for herself in my sleep capsule. When I asked her what was going on, her mumbled voice from underneath my blanket informed me she had seen a boogie man.
“A Boogie what!” I asked
“A boogie man, you know Boooogie Maaaan!!!” she answered in a long but strong whisper.

Well no matter what planet you are from, every adult knows there is no such thing as a boogie man and so I tried to explain this to Frincess. You see the boogie man is nothing but a spooky story. He truly isn’t real.

But with her head still safely hidden under my blanket I soon realized Frincess wasn’t going to believe me no matter what I said. So I decided there was only one thing for me to do and that was to promise her I would go and look for this so called boogie man.

You will hardly believe what I saw next!!

I saw this big white thing swooning around the hallway going “boo”.

The Crocodettes Dairy Farm Adventure

Well hello to you,

I’m glad you are visiting us again because it gives me an opportunity to tell you all about our adventure we had this week. Pat, Herman, Frincess and myself were invited to visit a Farm. This was a farm that had many cows and these type of farms are called dairy farms.

This dairy farm had around three hundred cows. Yes THREE HUNDRED!!! That’s a lot of cows isn’t it?. And all these cows give milk to the farmer. The milk we drink comes from cows, did you know that?

Anyway, the farmer who’s name is Dan had asked us to come early in the morning so we could watch how milk was taken out of the cow. But boy we had no idea how early dairy farmers started work. We had to be there 4 o’clock in the morning!. Wow that’s even before the sun comes up!.

We managed to wake each other up and arrive at the dairy farm to see something quite amazing. We saw all these cows walk to the milking sheds by themselves. We thought that was very clever because they use no alarm clock and certainly nobody told them to go. All the cows just new it was time to walk over and be milked. Even when all the cows walked into the shed they new what was going to happen. Farmer Dan and all his helpers placed these cups on each of the cows teats. The teats are those big pink things hanging down under the cows belly and that’s where all the milk comes out of. The cows just stood there patiently while these cups automatically sucked the milk out. Isn’t that amazing!!

Fishing Trip

Hello and welcome back!

This week has been so funny I can’t wait to tell you all about it. As you know Herman is a bit of a trickster with a great sense of humour. This week however a very good trick was played on him and it was Frincess who tricked him…

It happened by the riverbank which is Pat’s favourite spot to spend his time. He and Herman had decided to go fishing and so Frincess and I packed a picnic lunch before going down to see how Pat and Herman were getting on trying to catch fish.

While Pat caught his first fish, Herman was still waiting to catch his and that’s when Frincess quietly hopped into the water and swam down to where Herman’s fishing line was. On his fishing line she hooked on a t-shirt that had writing on it and then tugged on his line which made Herman think he had caught a fish. You should have seen his face when he pulled out the t-shirt that read ’ I am not a fish’ Herman was very surprised as you could imagine.

Hello and Welcome to our Website!

Welcome to our new web site! - Gerry

Welcome to our new web site! - Gerry

We are absolutely delighted we finally have something to show you. Whether you visit our photo gallery, our music section or any part of our website, we hope you enjoy yourself.

The next 2 months The Crocodettes will be busy filming video clips for our songs so we are pleased to inform you that our video section will be filled with entertainment for all to see. And for this reason we decided not to do any live shows again until early 2009 because we are also busy recording new songs in Soundpit Studio. Our goal is to have all our songs put on DVD which is all very exciting.

Gerrry And FrincessFrincess and I still fit in as many kindergarten visits that time will allow us to do. We managed 3 visits this week and boy what a laugh. The children are just awesome beings and a pleasure to spend time with. Although some are a little weary of Frincess to begin with they certainly make up for it before we leave. I have photos of children surrounding Frincess all wanting to give her hugs and cuddles. We both can’t help but lap up the warm friendliness these children give once they trust we are friendly also.

So you see, no matter how busy we get, visiting kindergartens we will always try very hard to make time for.

I’m due at Soundpit studio now but don’t forget to pop in next week

Regards Gerry
