The Manawatu Standard: Big day out for tiny fans

ROCK THE GALAXY: Move over Hi5, Gerry and the Crocodettes rocked the house at the Globe theatre.
Expectant and animated chatter, some jostling for the perfect position and a bit of mosh pit jumping up and down in the darkened venue before the headline act took to the stage – it was as intense and spirited as if it was the Big Day Out.
For the preschoolers in the coveted front row seats of the Globe Theatre it was exactly that, a big day out.
Gerry and the Crocodettes had come to town from parallel universe Croco Galaxy and this audience wasn’t going to miss a beat.
The New Zealand children’s band rocked the house from the moment it took the stage.

Meet the colourful cast of Gerry and the Crocodettes, children’s entertainers based in Motueka and billed as “New Zealand’s answer to the Wiggles”. They’ve been performing for a little over a year, and embark on a North Island tour this month with the Star Fairies, creatures who “live among the stars and listen to all children’s wishes”. The kids will be totally enchanted by the all-singing, all-dancing crew.

The Northern Advocate: Crocodettes tale out of this world

GERRY and the Crocodettes will arrive in Whangarei on Monday from a place far away in the universe called Croco Galaxy.
Crocodette Gerry was instructed to find Pat (the 900-year-old Galactic Alligator who plays a banjo) and see what it was about Earth that would make a superior alligator want to live there. However, only moments after landing, she discovered that Frincess, the only
child to the King and Queen of Croco Galaxy, had travelled with her.
In this show about their journey, Frincess, Gerry and Pat are joined by Herman, a Yeti who hails from Tibet and lives deep underground, and The Star Fairies, who live among the stars and listen to children’s wishes.
